Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Uncooked ("the App", "we", "us") is a mobile application developed and published independently. The app is available on iOS and Android under the bundle ID me.uncook.app. If you have questions, contact us at hello@uncookme.com.

2. What Data We Collect

Uncooked does not collect any personal data. There are no user accounts, no registration, no login, and no data is transmitted to any server operated by us or any third party.

All data generated by your use of the app (your selected apps to block, habit completions, streak counts, orb balance, and settings) is stored exclusively on your device using:

• Android: SharedPreferences (local key-value storage)
• iOS: NSUserDefaults / App Group shared container (local key-value storage, shared between the main app and its extensions)

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

3. Permissions We Request

Android

• Usage Access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS)
  Used to detect when a blocked app is opened so the redirect screen can be shown. This data is processed entirely on-device and never transmitted.
• Display Over Other Apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW)
  Used to display the blocking overlay screen on top of blocked apps. No data is collected through this permission.
• Accessibility Service (BIND_ACCESSIBILITY_SERVICE)
  Used to detect foreground app changes and trigger the blocking screen. The accessibility service only reads the current foreground app name. It does not read screen content, keystrokes, or any other input. This data is not stored or transmitted.
• Query All Packages (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES)
  Used to display the list of installed apps during onboarding so you can choose which apps to block. The list of installed apps is never transmitted off the device.

iOS

• Screen Time / Family Controls (com.apple.developer.family-controls)
  Used to block selected apps via Apple's FamilyControls framework. The selection of blocked apps is managed by the system and stored locally. No app usage data is transmitted to us.

Camera (both platforms — coming soon)

• Camera access
  A future feature ("Snap Resets") will optionally use your camera to take a photo for reset verification (e.g., a photo of a healthy meal or morning sunlight). This photo is stored locally on your device. It is never uploaded to a server or shared with anyone.

4. Third-Party Services

Uncooked does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs. There are no ads in the app.

We use the following open-source packages which operate entirely on-device:

• Flutter (Google) — UI framework
• flutter_bloc — state management
• shared_preferences — local storage
• go_router — in-app navigation

None of these packages collect or transmit personal data.

5. Children's Privacy

Uncooked is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling the app. This permanently removes all stored preferences, habit history, and settings.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. Significant changes will be noted within the app.
